Small talk with employees at Nimo-KG (part 3)

Firstly, what is your name?

Sofia Pries.

How long have you worked at NIMO-KG?

In May it will be 5 years, time flies when you’re having fun!

Describe your role at NIMO-KG!

Administrator. I work with everything from getting the mail, to make reservations for shipping to working with invoicing.

What’s the most fun and rewarding to work with at NIMO-KG?

That we are a small company where you know the whole picture of what is going on. Not just your own little part. It is very rich in variation, such as booking different types of shipping, everything from spare parts about 1 kg to machines in complete trailers. And there are nice colleagues!

What is an “ordinary” day at work like for you?

It varies a lot and one thing you can be sure of, there will never be as expected. I always check first what is on the weekly report, shipments shall be prepared and then posted. I deliver the mail, preparing invoices and then sending invoices. At the beginning of every month I work a lot with the after calculation and fixes with reports etc.

Tell us about an interesting case that has been particularly fun or challenging during a day with NIMO-KG!

In May last year we had two machines, and transport vehicles witch should be loaded in a 40’HC container to Japan, but at the last minute the customer had a change of heart and wanted to fly the shipment instead. There were two pallets that were 5.2 meters long, 2 meters wide and 2.3 meters high, each. It’s not often we fly that big packages, in those cases it is extra important that the cargo is packed correctly and safely. It sets high demands on both us and the shipping. Everything worked out just fine!

What do you like to do otherwise, when you’re not at work?

I Like to spend time with family and friends. To make various trips are fun, for example, in week 8, I went to Idre to ski. I also reads a lot!

Thanks for the chat!
